A new brand and website need new images – No argument!
That’s what Chris Power, of Power Projects, wanted when she contacted me to book a branding photoshoot with her and business partner, Warren Smith.
Their vision is to grow their coaching business with strategic associates and contractors working with medium-sized enterprises, improving the effectiveness of the workplace.
Chris was quite clear on the message they wanted to send out: Sharp, clean, edgy, professional but not too corporate, latest thinking, relaxed and approachable, contemporary.
Their corporate colours were dark blue with tangerine accents – stylish and fun.
I love to know what my client’s USP is. Their answer summed it up as a holistic experience: they’re experienced, qualified, approachable, empathetic yet pragmatic, achieve results, work with the whole self and whole systems.
My Elsternwick studio and the DesignInc offices in the CBD were the two locations we went with. The clean black and white backgrounds of the studio complemented the stylish furnishings of DesignInc with its classically curved doors, and furnishings in muted greys with a pop of citrus – a perfect balance for the look and feel we wanted to achieve.
To reflect their new brand Warren chose a classic navy suit and white shirt which was contrasted with a more casual light grey jacket and navy trousers. No ties required!
Chris chose a soft multi-coloured blouse that suited her fun side, teamed with classic navy trousers. The same blouse was worn with a velvet trouser suit that was edgy and definitely not too corporate.
The end result? A stylish corporate look with a more relaxed and approachable feel, with the help of a few wardrobe changes and some great backdrop and prop options.
Chris and Warren’s ‘must-have’ shots of professional profile images, along with photos of them in-action both coaching and facilitating workshops were also achieved without looking staged or insincere.
